Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is currently two years through the four-year deal he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the initial major honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he once was, and would certainly consider lengthening his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had escaped him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
